Our Process

The proposed common effluent treatment plant is designed to treat total 5 MLD textile effluent to be received at the inlet of CETP. Out of total 5 MLD effluent, 4.5 MLD effluent (Stream 1) will be received through drainage system. Balance 0.5 MLD effluent (Stream 2) which is high in TDS content is segregated at source (dye bath liquor) by each industry and will be sent to CETP through tankers for separate treatment.

Treatment Scheme for Stream 1 (4.5 MLD)

  • Screening through Coarse Screen
  • Grit Chamber
  • Collection and Transfer to Equalization Tank
  • Oil and Grease Trap
  • Fine Screening
  • Equalization provided with Air Mixing
  • Treatment with Lime solution to raise pH to 8.5 in Flash Mixer 1
  • Treatment with Ferrous Sulfate / alum solution to bring down pH to 7 in Flash Mixer 2
  • Flocculation using Polyelectrolyte in flocculator
  • Gravity settling in Clarifier
  • Biological Treatment Using Activated Sludge Process
  • Bio Mass separation in Clarifier and Recirculation of Bio Mass
  • Ozonation for disinfection and color removal
  • Pressure Sand Filtration and Activated Carbon Filtration
  • Treatment for 60% of Stream to achieve Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
  • RO Plant to achieve to 88 to 90% Recovery
  • RO Reject treatment through Multiple Effect Evaporator
  • Recycle recovered water.
  • Recovered salt to dispose to TSDF site
  • Sludge dewatering (Primary and Biological sludge, Mixed) through Filter Press. Dewatered sludge to TSDF site.

Treatment Scheme for Stream 2 (0.5 MLD)

  • Collection in Equalization Tank provided with Air Mixing
  • Treatment with Ferrous Sulfate / alum solution to bring down pH to 7 in Flash Mixer
  • Flocculation using Polyelectrolyte in flocculator
  • Gravity settling in Clarifier
  • Pressure Sand Filtration
  • Activated sludge process & Treatment for 0.5 MLD Stream to achieve Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)
  • RO Plant to achieve 55 % Recovery
  • RO Reject treatment through Multiple Effect Evaporator
  • Recycle recovered water.
  • Recovered salt to dispose to TSDF site
  • Primary Sludge dewatering through Filter Press. Dewatered sludge to TSDF site.
